What to do when it gets big?

My plants need repotting and I’m worried they will get too big. What do I do? They are succulents and have grown so fast. I have a limited amount of space.

I’m pretty sure if you keep them in the small pots, that will stunt their growth and they will stop growing.:thinking::thinking:

Put the plants for sale or give away and grow new succulents from scratch.

I’ve always felt sorry for plants. I can’t help but think they have thoughts and feelings just like we do. And just like animals do.

You keep them, they don’t want to go away!
Just stick them in a larger pot and they will be pleased.

I’m doing alright. Working, taking a class, trying to socialize with roommate. Same ol, same ol.
Good to hear you’re doing OK at least some of the time.
What are you up to?

@77nick77 I’m just struggling to keep my head above water in this weird marriage of 9 years.
Strange to think you know someone……only to know you don’t.

If you truly would like to repot them, then only go to nursery pots or other good drainage pots slightly larger than what they are currently in now. The reason why you’ll only go up a little is because the roots may develop root rot due to too much moisture in the soil in a to big pot.

Also, make sure you choose a soil specifically for succulents & cactus plants. That way they’ll have the proper soil drainage.

Another tip: See how all your beautiful plants are leaning towards the window? If you’re able, make sure to give them a half turn at least once a week to even out their sun exposure. That may increase their willingness to stand straight and tall.
