I think i want to give up on crochet as i just cant do it who should i give it too

Give it to yourself in the future. Pack it away for now. Not being able to do something now is not the same as not being able to do it ever.

I have wanted to chuck my photography gear several times over the past few years when I burn out with it. That would have been a mistake.

I also agree with saving it. If you are set on getting rid of it, you might want to ask your local library first. They might have knitting/crochet classes and be in need of a donation.
