You know like blind people they cannot see they feel or hear better …
My empathy works better.
I probably think more than I would if I didn’t have schizophrenia.
How does it help you in life ?
How does it help you ?
Keeps me from being “somebody’s fool” I guess.
Helps me be more creative.
Everything gets worse with brain damage
I think I might have slightly above average pain tolerance, which could help me workout a tiny bit.
But in general, I am so average.
Well, it has been said that there is a fine line between courage and stupidity, so there is that. Since ancient times, some warriors have used alcohol to dull threir brain while fighting. Courage and stupidity.
Also, there is anti-intellectualism in many cultures, so a person may fit into certain groups better if their brain doesn’t work as well. Socializing may even work better.
I’m not sure what works better in me, considering my vision and hearing are both impaired and I have no physical ability (like for sports) to speak of. I guess I spend more time thinking than the average person like someone else said.
Specifically for schizophrenics, though, it has been pointed out before on the forum that apophenia works better sometimes, and thus perhaps some forms of creativity.
I’m going to restrain myself from making the obvious answer.
