What is your housing situation?

Hi everyone, what is your current housing situation? Do you have a house or apartment, do you have 1 or more roommates, or do you live with family? I have had an apartment for about 6 years now, I live in PA with 1 roommate. I have plans to move out very soon as I hate it here, I want to just rent a bedroom in someone’s house, that will save me alot of money. This place is a real den of iniquity, there is a serious drug problem here and it is so evil you can feel it, the atmosphere is also creepy. I am on the waitlist at about 20 complexes in the area but the housing market is terrible so it may be awhile until something opens up, if I just find a room I may be able to move out right away, within days.

I live in a small apartment with a roommate but I want to live by myself in a one bedroom apartment or studio. I’ve lived here six years. I got on the bad side of some neighbors and I just want to get away from here. I live in the South Bay Area of Northern California. I’ve rented rooms in peoples houses before, it was a good way to live.

I live in a Hud complex. I have a 2 bedroom apartment because my doctor wanted me to have a second bedroom for some workout equipment that would help with weight loss, strength training and flexibility all to aid with my bad arthritis and pain. Our town doesn’t have a gym.

Privately renting a bedroom. I share everything else. My landlady lives with us girls here.

So the place is always in good order.

Been in a 1-bedroom apartment for about 8 years. I get a housing choice voucher that pays about 33% of the rent. My rent just went up another $100 a month, tho, so it’s a lot more than it used to be. I have one “roommate” (my dog).

Hi there! First, I admittedly cringed when I saw that you posted your state, town, AND community. That is discouraged here as it can be unsafe. Please, please contact a moderator to alter your personal details. Saying “I live in Pennsylvania, in the US” is plenty. People don’t need any further detail.

Second, I live with my husband, kids, a dog, and two guinea pigs. My guinea pigs are the ones with a housing issue. They had a giant pigloo but didn’t want to share with each other. Now they have separate, smaller ones. Their cage is a subdivision, basically. They even have an HOA that fines them if there are too many poops left out on their “lawn.” It’s a strict one.

I rent a modern 1 bedroom house from a housing association before this I was in supported housing.

I live in a three bedroom house in Central/Northern California with my husband.

He has an office and we have a guest room that gets used frequently by guests.

It’s a cute place.

I really like it.

We are renting a house in a bedroom community a short drive from a large city. It’s in a nice neighbourhood. We are probably buying a new home next fall.

My husband and I rent a 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home in a nice suburban neighborhood. Its perfect for us and our two girls, and then theres still room when my two older kids visit from Virginia. We live an hour from the best beaches in America. The weather is always beautiful. We love living where we do. I wish we had the ability to buy this house, its just laid out perfectly for us.
