Mine is the Asics Gel Lyte III. Classic retro runner with many styles of color ways. Anyone else?
I just buy cheap tennis shoes and boots anymore. Not real concerned with the brand name.
I liked the Nike Shox a lot I had many, I also like Air Max.
I like the megellan boat or deck shoes from academy; good prices.
I wear quite a lot of different ones. My go to is a Japanese independent shop’s simple trainer. It’s really comfy.
For work I wear Air Force 1s.
And if I feel a change, it’ll be some kind of reebok. or Adidas barra
I’m old. I go for Dr. Scholl’s. They’re sturdy.
I loved my black ASICS though. If I could find the pair again, I’d definitely buy it.
I used to wear these ASICS that were really comfortable, but they stopped making them.
Thanks everyone for sharing. I’ve always liked the nike vandals that Kyle reese wore in the first Terminator movie.
When I was younger, in the mid-1980s, I wore a pair of white leather Converse athletic high tops for nearly four years. They simply never wore out despite the fact that I walked everywhere at that age.
Today, my favorite pair is New Balance 470 Women’s athletic shoes. I am a middle-aged fat man with unusually small but wide feet and I ran across these at a thrift store. Not only do they fit perfectly, but they have also lasted two years so far. I wear them every night after work and all day on my days off.
That is probably why they have an emotional appeal to me. When I put them on it signals that I am at home and not out in the world. I am safe, I am somewhat in control, and these shoes are symbols of that. It’s like when I put them on, I am in disguise from some of the people who cause such stress and pain in my life. When I put the shoes on, I am someone else. I am closer to the kid who used to run around in his white and red Converse high-tops and had dreams of the future. Maybe part of him still exists.
I really like those. Very retro and stylish.
Also, love the name “lofi funk”. I’ll have to look that up and see what it sounds like.
I work with restaurants as a technician and Dr. Scholl’s makes wonderful anti-slip shoes for the ever-greasy floors. Right now, I don’t own a pair, but maybe after these wear out I’ll treat myself to them.
I like my Uggs Union Derby brown shoes the most. They’re super comfy, and can be dressed up or down.
For sneakers I like just about any casual sneaker by Adidas or Skechers.
The Adidas Superstar is always going to be a classic. I have a white pair of those.
Just look up lo-fi, it’s a mello chill out type of music. And converse are still quite stylish.
I have 3 of those, one all black and two dark blue.
I like Converse low cut and Van’s, i had Addidas Gazelle but it made my backfoot bleed.
