What is your favorite band?

Sorry to comment on my own post,

But is anyone else ■■■■■■■ absolutely amazed that Karen O is so goddamn sexy with a chili bowl haircut?

How is it possible?

I don’t know,

But it’s working for her.

The Traveling Wilburys. Seeing that kind of talent come together has to be a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

I have two band logos tattooed on me, both on my left calf: Mushroomhead and APC. Mushroomhead, though not well-known outside of metalheads, has a bit of a cult following.

Btw I’m not crazy about the way the notes came out, but it’s whatever, they’re there now lol.

It’s a tough call but I’d say it’s close between Polyphia, Tool, and Metallica before therapy.

I have many favorites, a couple I listened to lately is the Corrs and Barbera Thompson.

The Corrs is a Irish family band from the 90’s/00’s. I have their first album on vinyl.

Barbera Thompson is a jazz artist, playing saxophone with her jazzband. She was mostly active in the 80’s. I have about 4 albums of her on vinyl.

I’ve been heavily influenced by Tool since I first heard 46 & 2. I couldn’t believe the sound I was hearing. It was similar to when I first heard Metallica’s One. I was blown away!
My youngest brother came out today. Very happy to see him. He brought out an eight string with what looks like a swamp ash curly top. He want’s to trade for an 80’s Ibanez six string with the floyd rose we have here. I’m happy with the transaction for my second youngest brother because I just tried to claim the Peavey T-15. It has one of the first machine made necks and it is amazing. It’s an ugly guitar in brown but I love it.

So do you! I like Pantera and respected them too but don’t listen to them often anymore. I just thought they stayed true to metal and came up with some great songs. I loved A Great Southern Trendkill. That was an awesome album. I’d put that on and crank it when company came and I didn’t know better.

I like AJR, 311, Grouplove, Beck, Bastille, the Wombats

Alternative stuff. I’m not your average American who listens almost exclusively to divas and hip hop stars.

Led Zeppelin and R.E.M.

The Used are probably my long time favorite band. Always come back to them. Bert mcCracken was a big influence on me as a teen. I love all their albums but especially their older stuff like the self titled album which was their first.
