Hey friends, I just got from hospital where doctor prescribed narcotic/opioid class medicine to deal with my pain in my leg. Should I be worried? People are telling me that opioids are dangerous class of drugs and I should be very careful with it. Thanks!
Just take them as prescribed and you’ll be fine. Don’t take them for anxiety or a “high” or other purposes. Just for the pain. Nothing wrong with using them for pain they are the best in class. Also avoid alcohol and other depressants that cause respiratory depression.
That’s awesome, thanks for that.
Opioids are bad news.
My father was prescribed some and he ended up in the ER with motility issues.
They mess up your digestive process
I wouldn’t rely on them @Genesis
If I’m being honest
I was prescribed them in my early 20’s and started abusing them. I went through withdrawal once and decided it wasn’t worth it.
Take them as prescribed. You should always listen to your doctor over people on a forum, but my advice is to not mess around with the prescribed instructions.
Be open with your doctor. If you find you want to take it when you don’t necessarily need it for pain, tell them.
They’re addictive, make sure you take them only as prescribed. If you already have addiction problems be very, very careful with taking them.
Too much of it and ya won’t be poopin
My father had severe constipation on them.
He had to go to the hospital
The ass hole doctor prescribed them like they were candy and he did not give us any info on them.
What med is prescribed if it’s not the secret?
Take them as prescribed. If short term, its all good. If longer term, you’ll need some form of management to deal with potential sides and withdrawal. But I wouldn’t worry in any case - you have a professional in your corner.
My doctor has prescribed me tianeptine for depression. It’s opioid, do you think it is safe for schizophrenia?
Yes it is. Three times a day one tablet.
