It’s a phone app where you take a picture and send it to a friend, you can add text if you’d like, and then the picture disappears after 10 seconds or whatever you set it to. And the friend can reply with pictures or type in a text chat.
My daughter informs me that it is an app for young people and that old people are not welcome there as uncoolness is not wanted.

Oh really does it disappear? Glad ive never bothered then. Too be honest id get paranoid for getting called out as a perv if i got “Dodgy messages” - I will stick to email lol
