The absolute best horror fantasy books are the Miss Peregrines Children series.

The Chronicles of Brothers series by Wendy Alec. The Fall of Lucifer is a page turner.
One Door Away from Heaven
by Dean Koontz
without a doubt one of his best pieces of fiction. This book literally took my breath away. Suspenseful thriller beautifully written and I just can say enough about.

I’d agree that you give @anon4362788 's book a go. I honestly don’t read that genre of horror/fantasy but enjoyed it. It’s cheap and it’s an easy and well written little bit of fun in the zombie apocolypse. Otherwise I’ve read a bit of Clive Barker. It’s not too bad but not a huge fan.
