Is it like Chinese or Thai food ?
Idk but if you have kimchi watch out because it can be veerry spicy. It’s a very common Korean side dish of spicy cabbage and other vegetables fermented I believe. But very spicy traditionally.
I don’t remember how any food tastes
Korean spices are more similar to Japan than Chinese or Thai. But they all have unique flavor profiles. Even authentic Chinese cuisine is very different within its own country. East Chinese food is quite different from West China. For Korean, I’d try bulgogi which is not spicy usually. It’s basically Korean bbq. I’d also try hotpot, which is basically different broths with vegetables and meats of all kinds. Korean food, like Japanese tends to lean towards healthy and seafood. Hope you enjoy it.
There is an emphasis on the use of gochujang in the cuisine, which makes it unique but somewhat similar to Japans miso if it were spicy.
Fermented and preserved foods are very traditional in that sense it’s similar to certain Chinese cuisines.
It isn’t ‘proper Korean’ food. It’s one of Ben’s 'Street food ’ range. I’d tried the Japanese style Teriyaki one, which I binned after a few mouthfuls- because it was so awful.
