Im celibate. Not sure if it’s by choice. Just became more interested in women after med change. I guess there is less to worry about, but id rather have a partner or someone to do this stuff with. I think it’s healthier to have sex.

Celibacy im probably not. But at my age of 48, i can take or leave a bunk up.
Its not exactly high on my list of priorities. The randy 20 year old me is long gone.

For me it’s less about actual celibacy and more about understanding that a wife and kids is more than likely too much stress for me to manage. I am a Christian now and while I’m not actively looking, when I was, nothing ever worked out anyway. So it seems that celibacy is for my own good, but it’s pretty much the way whether I choose it or not, lol…

I think only a priest would do that.
I had a period of time when I practice sex and semen retention, but that is a different story.
So far meds does their job. More meds than the age. No sex intrest unfortunately

That’s me, yup by choice. I like thinking about other things besides sex. My age probably has something to do with it, when you get over 50 the sex drive goes down, atleast it has for me. Kinda liberating.

I think abstinence is a better word than celibate or chaste/ chastity. Youre just abstaining from doing it youre not taking a vow for moral reasons.

Advantages are there, but no matter how much autoeroticism I do I sometimes get an itch I cant scratch. That can lead to problems. Problems like risky sex, scams, dangerous situations, possibly harassing someone etc.

The harassing someone part happened to me one time at least. A woman kina showed interest, and when I talked to her I got a full hard-on. It kind of made me awkward and I sort of suggested it, and her reaction made me think she was going to call police or make a scene where white knights would attack.

I believe that abstaining from sex and masturbation, at least in men, will give you more energy and drive. I think there’s very little research on this but I’m convinced it’s true based on own experience. I think it’s something we’ve gotten through evolution to be able to attract the opposite sex.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer, but I think there are pretty much zero advantages to abstaining from sex.
Human beings are basically built for companionship and touching each other.
Sex is just a natural part of life.
It releases chemicals in your brain that you make you feel super happy.
