What AP do you take?
Do you get the right amount of sleep, 7-8 hours, or does it make you sleep little or too much?

I take Zyprexa and going to ask for a change in medication. It has me needing way too much sleep.

I’m on clozapine and I always get a good nights sleep. I go to bed around 10 pm and get up 7.30 am

I am taking all this because I am in Process of change in meds

Edit : I get good amount of sleep. 8-10 hours

I take 12 mg Invega and 20 mg Clozapine.

Since we’ve lowered my clozapine I sleep less. We’ll see how it plays out.

i’m on clozapine and risperdal consta. My sleep is good i think. i sleep like 10 hours a day.

It’s 3 pm and I’m already yawning. We’ll see how long I’m able to stay awake.

I think that my experience about sleep and antipsychotics is of importens so I will give you my opinions on this subject. Let me just say that there are just as many drug effects as there are people on the surface of the globe.
Well I went through 20 years of Insomnia caused by a mix of Clopixol depot Seroquel and Ziprasidone. I’ve been using Clopixol for 27 years - Ziprasidone for 20 years and Seroquel for 11 years. My sleep schedule then awake 35-45 hours and sleep for 10-12 hours. Well I went off of Ziprasidone 20 month ago and for the last four days I’ve slept an average of 8 hours. So it seems that the main reason for my insomnia for 22 years mainly was caused by Ziprasidone. When I quit it I was raised from 550 mg qutiapine to 750 mg.
Clopixol for sleep the best
Seroquel for sleep the next best.

In the times where I had insomnia I often had pseudo mania that borderlined Schizo affective. But now my GP realise that I not have two illnesses but just Paranoid Schizophrenia.

I’m on Invega Trinza (525mg) and I sleep about 8 - 10 hours on a good night.

Vraylar and I don’t sleep enough. I have a doctor on my back about sleeping more.

Thanks for all of your insights, and for explaining these things @Ghosts. It really helps get an idea of what is common. I take Zyprexa and Prozac. They offset one another in a good way, but I need a stronger AP dose and more zyprexa may make me comatose! Going to ask if a AP combo would be a good idea.

I take vraylar (6 mg) at the moment.
Sleep is quite good, though I sleep a lot, but I always slept a lot.
:slight_smile: Just I woke up several times during sleep, but this is due to some my lifetime experiences

My sleep is erratic. I mostly sleep too much but have the odd nights of restlessness. Sometimes can’t keep my eyes open around mid afternoon.
