What do you call your area in or by the street?

Everone says something different -

What have you named that little strip of grassy area between the sidewalk and the curb and street?

What do you call the one separating the directions of traffic?

So far I heard it called:

  1. Medium
  2. Nature strip
  3. Knoll

I just call it grass. The area between two sides of a divided highway is the median.

I’ve never used it or heard it before but I kind of like the phrase ‘Nature strip.’

I havent heard it called that before reading a post here, but kind of like ot too.

My property lines extend to the street, and since my HOA holds me responsible for the maintenance of the grass between the sidewalk and curb, I call it my lawn.
