What causes schizophrenia?

That’s funny. I don’t have any other person diagnosed with schizophrenia in my family. There’s a distant cousin who’s diagnosed with bipolar and a distant granduncle who got very depressed after going to war (what’s not a surprise).

If schizophrenia is genetic, I suspect it’s not my case.

I’m no expert but genetics could be way more complicated. I don’t have any schizophrenics in my family either but I do have some mild mental illness that runs in my family. Stuff like alcoholism and anxiety. My mom told me I had a distant relative who could move objects with her mind but maybe I misheard her. Back then, maybe she wasn’t diagnosed with schizophrenia?

Maybe you’re right. I have an uncle who have problems with alcoholism.
