What bipolar med do you take

For mania?
I’m taking lithium right now but the side effects are terrible.
There must be a better choice.

Depakote ER for Mania, Mixed States and Depression.
Works great for me.

No nausea but everyone is different.

Risperdal Consta, Geodon, Seroquel, and Celexa. The first three are for sz, but they work on bipolar too.

I take lamictal. It’s not the best med but at least it doesn’t make me feel sick

im also suppose to take lamictal but i havnt yet. but thats only cuz i havnt had mania in ages. my pdoc knows. so she gave me risperidone to take if i suddenly got manic to sedate me then to come back in.

I had to come off of Lithium two months ago. It’s not an easy drug. It works wonders for people, but it didn’t help me.

The thing is it works but the side effects are awful.

I don’t have mania but I take Geodon. It’s used more for that than psychosis.

Took geodon for quite awhile years ago. Besides some weight gain I couldn’t go in the sun and my gums got very swollen and my teeth broke and fell out.

I take Latuda, it’s good for BoPolar depression as well.
