I had a few things I had planned for the day. Was planning on making several stops today. Had guitar lesson, dropping off my dads used medication needles at a recycling place that they accept them, dropping of a damaged return item from amazon at ups store, cashing in my change at bank that has been accumulating for awhile(I put loose in rolls yesterday), and getting a document notarized.
I now find that the UPS store is closed for observance of New Years Holiday, as is the recycling place. Have not found out if bank is closed or open for change and notarizing. Checked up on guitar lesson though, and that is one thing that is still on for sure.
What do you have planned today and/or are you having any issues with closed businesses today?
I was able to get a coffee with my neighbour nearby but it is cold in my flat and i have a quiche in the oven, tomorrow i am taking my Mum out to my Aunts and Cuz
There was no Wellness Group today I think because the Wellness Center is closed today because of New Year’s Day yesterday.
I was watching Good Morning America this morning but it stopped broadcasting around 8am so I changed the channel.
I’ve been watching Ocean’s Thirteen with my dad but haven’t really been paying attention. We have five minutes left.
I’m sick with the flu or something. Just been in bed listening to radio and watched a little TV. I’d much rather have worked today which I was supposed to. I hope tomorrow will be better.
I helped a friend who is learning to use his cell phone. I did grocery shopping. I wrote thank you notes for Christmas. I read a bunch of emails. In some way this filled my day.
I wish I could afford guitar lessons . I would get him or her to teach me Rev Gary Davis songs. Try looking him up on YouTube. He was a true bluesman. I’m thinking of writing a book Guitar theory the intuitive way. I simplify reading music and focus on feeling the music so you can figure out a tune when the sheet music is screwy. It would be a very short book. I’d include other things I garnered about guitar, like making a time limit you stick to if you have trouble with getting around to practicing. I don’t know maybe you can’t teach someone how to figure out how a song really goes without hearing it or if I’m that good at it, but I don’t believe I was born with musical talent. I never knew a sour note from a good one. I think I like classical music the best. My fallback plan is the blues, keeps my muscles strong.
Our mall closest to us was open, and the kids had no school. So we went there, walked around and had lunch together. Hubby had to work, though. The boys bought legos with their Christmas money and the girls got some cute hair clips. We had fun.
My own employer is closed today and it suits me just fine. I’ve been enjoying listening to my work phone buzz back and forth across my desk this morning and afternoon.
