What are you doing today?

I have a review at work today. My husband is on the library board of trustees and he told me they discussed me at their meeting last night. He said he bowed out of it due to conflict of interest, being my husband and all.

Also, they’re having a meeting with local politicians, a senator, and a congressman at our library this morning. My boss/friend told me that they took a picture of her for the local paper and will be mentioning my name, too.

The reason for the article is we are the onpy library in the area that did work during quarantine and shutdown. We put together craft and game kits for the local kids. Things to keep them entertained. We made over a thousand, by hand, since March.

Wow, impressive that you did that for the kids. And I think your review sounds like it’s going to be positive. Good luck with it.

It’s 5pm here now.

I raked flat a 6 ton pile of topsoil and laid a membrane over it. I then dug out of bags 3 ton of stone that went on top.

This job is going well, but I don’t have much after this.

Hopefully something else will come along

I’m signing a lease to get added to this apartment I’ve been couch surfing at. Then I’m applying for an apartment of my own. I might get to see the grandbabies today, hopefully. Other than that I’m just going to be hanging out on the forum.

Just finished up volunteer work for the week and have weekend off which I’m pretty chuffed about. I loved working for Barnes and Noble when I lived over there. Even retail is good when your dealing with books. Such an enlightening thing to do with work time and glad you get to work in a library. You pretty much need an information technologies degree to work in a library these days over here. Pity.

Today I will be buying things for my new apartment and picking up things for the move. I am leaving on Monday

well today is over for me…almost bed time…tomorrow I am going to lunch with my mom…
