I’m just curious. Everybody talks about coming back in their next life. But does it have to be my next life? Can’t I skip a life and come back two lives after? Maybe if I wait fifty years after I die to come back instead of right away I might build up a running balance to have a really cool life since I didn’t get credit for not taking the previous life.

What you’re saying is possible. They can grant wishes and send your consciousness/soul to a parallel universe where you were successful, if you’re being serious. It can also go very, very badly.
In one of my past lives, I was praying to the greys/communicating to the greys (in my head) to send me back to my original life/body where I wasn’t killed or tortured.
I used to be the world’s second smartest person.

When I was psychotic, my brain revelled all these memories of me, but this was throughout different times in history and it was very vivid. It kinda fed in grandiose thinking, as one in particular I was an important person, and it drove me into the ground feeling like this time is a failure, and I should just give up.
I don’t know what to believe now. However it is something I have entertained in the past.
What’s so funny is how many people who say they’ve been reincarnated claim they were a famous person or royalty in a previous life.

Sikhism is about having a God-belief to be “saved” and taken to Heaven, without being reincarnated. I believe other theistic religions are similar.
I imagine reincarnation involves a memory wipe, which would make this life rather pointless if you can’t remember the lessons learned.
When I die I’m not coming back here.
