This facility is on another side of my town and so my bicycle ride was at least 10 kilometers, which is good exercising. I went to see my father who has been there over five years. I try to be strong and not to become depressed although my father always just sleeps when I go to see him. I lived with my father for quite a long time and we had ups and downs, but I try to remember only good experiences.

i’m supposed to see my friends dad in the care home today, he has been unwell with shingles, he has been very tired but i think he can hear us even though he looks asleep.
good for you cycling and seeing your father though, well done 
In Sept 2004, 12 years ago, we, I and my father, traveled to many cities in eastern Finland. This was great.

I miss this in my life.
I am glad that he is still alive. So many friends of his have already died. He is already 82 years old and may still have many years here. We had many good experiences when we lived together.

Your father knows that you are there @mjseu, he may be sleeping, but he still knows you visit, and that is very good for the heart.
