Went to my first

Reiki session ever. I got a great deal online with a coupon. So glad I did it.

If you’re in the US, try Groupon. It’s a website and app where you can get services for much less than the regular price,

I am unfortunately not in the US. But thanks for information. There is Groupon here as well I think. Will check it out.

Oh, cool! I didn’t know people outside the US had Groupon too. I paid for a 30 minute session and she gave me 80 minutes!

Some guy attuned me once at the train station. I had no idea what was going on but i later learned it was called reiki. I was 17

I did Reiki in my prodromal phase. All the mumbo jumbo just made me more ungrounded.

It’s definitely not for everyone.

But please don’t lose your grounding. For a sz it tends to end badly.

They attune you, basically activate the flow of healing energy from your hands (if you’re willing to believe that stuff).

As a patient you just receive the energy.

It is definitely pseudoscience.

Don’t know, I had very bad chronic back hurt over years, since i got a treatment, i think it was reiki, it was gone.

I’m not saying that pseudoscience can’t help.

That’s cool. I’ve had Reiki done on me several times, but it’s been a few years.

I also am attuned as a Reiki Master, so I can do Reiki on others. I haven’t done that professionally since early 2020. That’s when I worked at a massage place that had Reiki on the menu.

Seeing the person who worked on me do Reiki made me want to do Reiki too. I liked how she worked with me one on one and asked questions before and after the session. I wanted to do work like that.

In my research, I found that you can do Reiki as a stand alone business and, also, many massage therapists do Reiki. It inspired me to become a massage therapist. Two months after I read that I started massage school.

Anyway, I’m glad Reiki worked for you. Thanks for sharing.

I found it a weird experience. She was hovering over me with her hands like she was performing a miracle. Not for me. I prefer a relaxing massage

The lady who did it for me didn’t ask anything except if I’m allergic to essential oils, if I’m comfortable being on the table, and if and if I’m okay with occasional light touch.

She did the work, and wrote everything down that she saw and felt. It was very interesting.

That’s very interesting .
