My friend and I who are both schizophrenic and chat everyday went to visit another schizophrenic friend we havent seen for ages, we went to Pizza Hut then back to her place for a cigar and chat.
Was a lovely day.
We are all very happy now.
And will be meeting up more often as its good for us.
I tried to set up a support group in my city for those with schizophrenia but noone has joined as yet I think because it is so rare and there is such a stigma…
At the assisted living center where I live everybody is schizophrenic, so schizophrenics make up most of my social life. I kind of feel like people who aren’t schizophrenics are “others”. Being surrounded by schizophrenics keeps me from being totally isolated. I keep to myself around here, but I don’t feel like there is a wall between me and everyone else I know.
Yeah, my friend is schizophrenic too. We’re at totally different stages with our disease though. The poor guy is experiencing severe symptoms and he tells me he’s suffering. On the other hand my symptoms are not that bad. But we still have fun. We had coffee and walked to the library today.
