I have absolutely nothing to do today and it is glorious. I’ll probably putter around the house and just tidy up a bit just to keep it nice and for something to do. I’ll also probably go visiting my ex and bring him a Propel fitness water to make sure he’s staying hydrated (he won’t drink plain water). I baked last night so I have goodies for today. I got this hydrating face kit so maybe I’ll take a bath and then do a little mini facial on myself for a treat. Whatever I feel like doing, I have the whole day with no commitments. What are you going to do today?
That sounds like a nice day. I am not doing anything. I saw my GP doctor Tuesday about an issue with my hand, he doesn’t know what it is but suspects vasculitis. They took a lot of blood for tests so ill just be waiting to hear back on that. I’m hoping to be able to cook a nice dinner tonight because sometimes making a meal helps with anxiety and I have a lot of that right now. Maybe go for a walk when the sun starts to go down.
I really enjoy cooking, I feel like it helps me too especially if I’m cooking for a loved one. There’s something really earthy and grounding about it.
Suuuuuuuppppppp.
I am going to group therapy at this minute. The weather is quite nice.
Tomorrow I will go swimming even though I’m feeling fat, it should be okay.
Enjoy your baked goods and I hope the rest of the day treats you well.
It’s good to treat oneself when necessary I hope the facial makes you feel refreshed
I agree. It’s something I’ve always liked to do, but my capacity to cook complex meals is no more sadly. I still like to do it and maybe someday I’ll be able to do more
Thank you sweetie, enjoy the swim.
My Mom always taught me to cook going with the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid lol. It doesn’t have to be complex, the simpler the better. Let the ingredients shine.
Morning @Leaf.
I’m headed out to my vet in a few. They’re going to neuter a stray cat for me. I asked them a few weeks ago and they said no charge. I’m pretty happy about that.
Then I’ll come back home and get ready for work.
That’s true. My husband always seems to like the simpler meals I make the best. Lately I’ve been doing baked chicken breasts with lemon and pepper, rice and organic salad. He seems to really like that
That’s nice of the vets and you. I hope you have a good day at work.
I completely relate to the loss of capacity to cook complex meals. I miss being able to do it, but now I have to stick to preparing simple food without too many steps. Sigh
That’s perfect, you can’t go wrong with that.
It bums me out. We tried getting one of those delivered meal kits with the recipe and pre portion ingredients and even those were too much for me to follow right now.
It really sucks. At least you are still able to do some cooking. I try and celebrate the small wins when I can. While my meals now aren’t as good as when I was well I am still cooking and it tastes ok. Not completely useless.
