My son in law came and got me and we all went over to my sister’s place. We played mostly inside because it was sprinkling off and on. My sister bought the coolest kid size couch that is all foam blocks that can be used to build forts or tumbling mats or you can bonk each other with them or anything you can dream of. Pretty cool.
As usual the first thing both kids did was run around dumping out all the toys and throwing pillows and everything else into the middle of the room. Once they get it all messy the way they like it they start playing with everything. My granddaughter, who is 3 1/2, was the one who really got into building forts with the new kid’s couch, and her brother, who is almost 2, was happiest wrecking the forts.
The best moment came when my grandson walked up to me and threw a small ball hard right at my forehead, and I gasped out of surprise, everyone stopped what they were doing and he took a step closer to me and looked up at me with his big brown eyes with a very serious look on his face babbled “no mimi”. Well I let out the loudest belly laugh and him and everyone else started busting up too.
It was a fun good visit. I can’t wait till next weekend to get to see them again.
