Video Game Thread 4.0

Welcome to steam! I really love the platform. Made my account 12 years ago and love being able to install any of my games throughout that time on my current machine. There’ll probably be quite a lot of older or indie games your laptop will run given how long steam has been going. Just check the specs before hand.

I would definitely make sure you get a comfortable mouse. It took me ages to find one that I find comfortable but it makes a lot of difference. I don’t like wireless mice because I don’t like charging them. But your’s may be suitable for your needs. Decent mice can get quite pricey. I wouldn’t invest unless you’re using your computer a lot.

Thank you mucho grando for the tips. I probably won’t invest in much initially. Just need to see how much I am going to like PC gaming first.

Haha. Steam is pretty painless to use.

I’m a learning it’s a crazy thing…so much expensive equipment and some really crazy things…

Unfortunately I should have known better that my laptop couldn’t run it properly. Oh well. I’ll just save it on Steam in case I ever get a gaming pc.

I got silver rank in duel links today. Previously i was diamond rank before i quit way back.

I also unboxxed 3 grandmaster hanzos to complete my ninja deck. It feels way more powerful, tho it doesnt have much defence against the backrow. I have 7 tools of the bandit in the deck but its more of a place holder atm for the ninjitsu spell that lets you draw 2 cards by removing all ninjitsu on the field.

My psychic deck also needs tuning, might move it over to synchro summons instead of space time police. The game has alot of new cards so i better get to earning those gems.

Have a look at the minimum specs on the steam page. I’m sure you could run it on a better laptop. I saw some places when I lived in the states down south and it was amazing. Just thinking there were thousands of troops fighting over the terrain.

Other thing is build a cheap gaming pc…with AMD and their Ryzen cpu’s it’s probably the best time ever to build yourself a cheap, decent gaming pc. You can run some good games on some pretty decently priced hardware.

Well, video game time for me! Personally speaking that is. I have to keep my hands busy… I’ve been… uh… thinking too much, you know? :flushed:  :relaxed:

Gotta love Dragons, but this one I like a lot.

They all seem so serious, wise, all-knowing and even relentless.

I’ve always wanted to build my own PC. Was wondering if you could give me some book recommendations or give me a good website that I can check out?

Thanks for the idea Rogue.

Plenty of forums to give you an idea…Linus Tech Forums are pretty good. Building is so easy these days and you can get an idea from others work on pcpartpicker…Those are two good sight and you can see build videos on youtube. Building is pretty easy and it’s hard to go wrong.

So I just redeemed a 7 year old DLC code for the Day One bonus content for Dead Rising 3. It lets you dress up like Frank West or Chuck Greene, and comes with a barb-wire baseball bat and the paddlesaw from Dead Rising 2. I got it by buying a brand new unopened Day One copy of the game off of Ebay. I was worried the code would have expired, very happy it didn’t. Now I’m gonna sell the game itself for somewhere between 5 and 9 bucks locally if I can, just to get rid of it (I have it digitally).

Yeah, after the video game time, I got some much needed sleep. Planning on taking a shower later tonight or before dusk if possible. How are you? So far, happy to report i’m at 2 cigarettes total today thus far.

The survivor AI on Dead Rising 1 is pretty terrible. I just tried to escort 5 survivors but only 3 made it back. They get mobbed by zombies so easily and it’s hard to get them off the person. I need to do a few achievements to unlock a few powerful weapons for future playthroughs in order to help me save them all on another run.

I find on any game it’s best to do your first playthrough without looking up the achievements, unless you want the plot spoiled for you.

I play a little bit of oldschool runescape now and then.

Video Game Thread discussion!

Okay, so I may have run into a friend online just now. Normally, we do not play video games, we hang out in person. He is one of my closest friends in this city of like… what is it? 5 million.

Anyway, it is a video game in which there is character creation. My friend is an amazing person, yet in the video game, he created a character that has a different appearance than in real life. It is comprehensible that some enjoy trying things out. So here comes the discussion…

As a person of colour, have you ever been ashamed to make a sun-kissed character? Or a snow-felt one? In layman’s terms, black, brown, yellow, red, purple, white, green, rainbow is beautiful. The end.
