You never forget your first loves.
They are imprinted on your psychology.
Once she broke my heart my entire psychology collapsed. The long term damage ain’t too shabby either.
All over a dirty little oul fella that should’ve minded his own bloody business.

@RonP56, something similar happened to me. I married my high school sweetheart. He ended up being a physical and sexual abuser. He broke my heart so badly that I ended up severely depressed and suicidal for almost 15 years after our divorce.
