I used to buy my Mom flowers or chocolates when she was alive.

I’ll probably tell my partner happy valentines. Maybe I will make dinner. I dunno. We usually dont do anything to celebrate.

My cat has a Valentine’s collar. I’ll switch him into that for a couple of weeks up until February 14. Other than that, nothing. I feel like it’s a made up holiday made to make people feel bad into buying gifts that aren’t necessary.

I make my wife a nice meal to enjoy by candlelight at home and then I massage her back, legs, and feet in the evening.

We don’t celebrate this day as a couple.
It was one of my favorite in elementary school - passing out cards.
