I really like my Amazon fire tablets. I have the Fire HD8 and the Fire HD10. They are inexpensive and seem to work well.

My iPad is on its last legs, too. It’s only four years old. Technology doesn’t last like it used to.

Mate…I just updated my iphone and it’s an SE so not too old ( around 6 ).
Anyways. Stupid thing no longer recognizes my home button. Seeing that is the easiest way to access everything it’s just driving me nuts. I have to open the phone doing other stuff and it’s doing my head in.
Apple are serious focktards when it comes to servicing their old devices! They’ve been caught out before and it’s shite really. Bloody things aren’t cheap to buy that apple label!

I have read about updates bricking Apple devices but it has never happened to me before. Makes you wonder if they do it on purpose.

Yeah mate. It’s a common conspiracy but you’ve got to wonder. They did admit to doing it for older iphones and offered new replacement batteries at cost. It’s not something that eased the concern.
I don’t mind iphone. It’s a solid device and I like AAC format for itunes. I think it’s a better grade than mp4 or whatever the alternative is so I’d like to keep apple for that reason! I’m a pensioner though and replacing phones isn’t an easy thing!
