All Oxford students have free access and use of a education ChatGPT

Makes sense, it’s not about memorisation anymore. It’s about trying to achieve critical understanding of subjects. I think that’s Oxford’s goal

It would, I’ve done it before. I think it’s why ChatGPT is said to be able to easily replace a lot of PhD material because the material is just info sourced from different places with a conclusion on top

if a dot com like bubble is a consequence of the markets because of AI - I wouldn’t be surprised but I wouldn’t pin it on ChatGPT the company itself imo

Hmm surely not the version that is openly available. Its hallucinations are a real problem and its own hypotheses /reasoning are superficial. Maybe first or second year bachelor level imo. I do think it’s very good at helping write accessably, improve readability. All this is no surprise given it’s a LLM

yeah that’s why I say, conclusion should be made by a human

AI’S good at putting what I already know in a more orderly,well structured, way.
