You heard it here first !
Oh wow this is cool. Thanks for sharing.
So if we don’t have those markers, does that mean we don’t have sz or sza?
When used as biomarkers in patients diagnosed with psychosis, they allow to determine two distinct clinical sub-groups with different severity of symptoms, of cognitive deficits and functioning in everyday life. This discovery represents a major breakthrough for stratifying individuals suffering from schizophrenia, whose heterogeneity of symptoms currently restricts diagnosis and treatment.
Once you’re diagnosed, they can predict how severe your symptoms will be.
Oh ok. I get it now. Thanks!
So they can determine sub groups based on bio markers?
What about the overall picture?
How do they achieve this?
I’m not sure what you mean.
The overall picture is determined by a diagnosis of psychosis and the blood markers.
It’s not the case that they can determine you have schizophrenia just from the blood markers though.
Surely that means the overall picture is supposition no?
If you don’t actually know why things occur you no nothing no?
