Tubeless tires

The frame looks to be built like a tank, I’m guessing it’s aluminium? what kind of rise is on the bars?

I hope you’re wearing body armour :turtle:

actually its carbon, handlebar is 25mm rise 780mm width

and yep knee/shin and elbow pads for sure, sometimes I use a full face helmet as well.

Wow, that thing must be a rocket :rocket:

I put 20mm rise 750mm wide carbon bars on mine. When I put on the wheels I had committed to it being for XC so I took off the dropper post and put on a carbon seat post. My frame is carbon too but the rear triangle is aluminium so I was only able to get it down to 11.5kg :grimacing:

I use body armour too but only knee and elbow pads, no need for a full face at the local place

haha yep. right on. i think my bike is around 14-15kg its an XL , and the front fork is 180mm, bigger rotors, dh tires.

i think even if my bike weighed 5 kg id still be just as slow getting up the hill

Nah shaving off weight doesn’t make you much faster but it sure is addictive
I’ve only got 120mm travel but it’s enough for my needs. It’s got remote lockout for the shocks which is handy for climbing but if you’ve a well set up shock you shouldn’t really need it.
The final thing I had to change were the brakes so I upgraded them to Shimano XT M8000’s
I think I’m finally done spending money on my bike

My husband used to groom and create mtn bike trails in his free time as a hobbie. If they are not wide enough for you, why not widen them yourself? with permission from landowner?

They are maintained by a non profit and located on a state park. I can’t do anything about the trees unfortunately. I just have really wide shoulders.
