Trump cutting off food stamps for 700k people

I just saw this on the news and boy does it have me heated. I’m not trying to get in a political discussion or what not but my anger towards this man is at an all time high. I can’t even imagine what people who are affected will be going through.

But no, you gotta “pull up your boot straps” and stop being lazy smfh. I’m disgusted. That’s all.

Except a lot of poor people are literally too poor to get a job. There aren’t enough safety nets to get people working that can’t afford basic necessities.

This will 100% kill people.

I got food stamps once when my family was just starting out and I was too proud to use them. That was when they were really stamps and not a debit card.

I would never qualify for food stamps again. So it won’t affect me.

I know someone this would affect. He has a mental illness not schiz and I dont think as severe. He has tried to get disability several times. SSA keeps sending him letters that he isnt sick enough not to work. I apologize if I’m wrong. But I have suspected that part of the problem is that he doesnt want to work.

Why do you think you’re so unique

Many say this. It’s a societal view based on the question of Why?

Are the answers that clear cut?

Who are you talking to? Tom?

You! 1515151515

Someone on here said that some of these other mi are not as severe as schiz. Which is exactly the way SSA is treating him. SSA leaves me alone. They know that I was f***** when I got sick.

If it’s too much for him to work full time I would understand. But he wont even go out and get a part time job like 15 hours a week. I think he’s making a mistake. Furthermore, he would keep contacting me for money. He wants me to pay him to do drawings. If he can do artwork on the side why cant he get a part time job on the table.

There’s so much that’s misunderstood about food stamps.

Like the particularly ignorant right wing heartless people who think people are “lazy”.

It simply isn’t the case at all. And the statistics out there apparently convinced people (who don’t know the actual numbers) that about 50% of the population or something close to that is getting benefits.

Uh… no.

And you can’t even get benefits if you have income up to a certain point.

You’re right stark, it is very maddening but that’s how a lot of people are still. I try to ignore it.

When the robots do most of the work those excessively self-loving folk will have to face the hollowness of their empty lives.

An article that explains some common misunderstandings about SNAP.

Would be nice if people would stop judging people whose shoes they’ve never lived in.

I’m closing this because I’m going to bed in a few and it’s too likely this will turn bad. In the morning I may reopen.
