Tried to make homemade iced tea. Kinda worked but not sure it’s that authentic/traditional - coming from a country were it isn’t drunk that much

I made it with:

Tea bags (standard black tea)
Stevia
Lemon juice
Lime juice

It doesn’t taste as sweet as peach Lipton iced tea but I prefer it that way

It is very refreshing which is good. Apart from Lipton I bought in a shop have never had iced tea so not sure if what I made is woeful trash lol

just don’t let the tea bags boil or it will ruin the tea…get it almost boiling then pull the pan off the heat.

Oh so you have it on the heat with the teabags in? I boiled water, poured it in a jug and let the teabags steep in it for a little while.

I based this on how most folk brew regular tea here in the uk.

have you ever made sun tea? it is a plastic canister that allows the sun to cook the tea just right…have to wait until it’s the right strength though..very good.
