How are you feeling today? You’re not usually this abstract in your writing. Is something up, or are you just doing something new?

Hello @Ninjastar. I have been feeling better lately. I think that my depression is lifting. Still I’m haunted by flashbacks of psychotic episodes and being incompetent. But I can gradually feel my senses returning.

That sounds like an overall positive experience. I’m happy for you. Do you know what is causing this change, or did it just happen out of the blue?

I like the half-rhyming in your first 2 lines

“When in not busy splitting atoms in my brain
I can be found out in the bogs touching shamrocks when it rains.”

Thanks, my doctor is very skillful. She added a touch of something sweet to season the broth. It took a couple of weeks to kick in but I have much more leeway in my mind. I think it’s called T3. Now if I could just get my moods back to normal I might stand a fighting chance.

Hi MG! I’ve missed our chats. What’s on the agenda for today?

I’m hosting a family lunch. My father and his wife are down from Brisbane and my niece (who also lives down here) is coming over. I spent yesterday making three salads and I’ll buy a rotisserie chicken. I made roast veggie couscous, potato salad, and bean salad. Now I’m baking a cake for my niece (it’s her 21st birthday in a couple of weeks).

I had a dream about my dead Nana last night. And trees that resembled humans.

I’m glad things are picking up for you.

What’s up @anon84763962. I would have replied to your last post about Presidents’ Day but I got banned about two minutes before you wrote it.
Sounds like you’ve got a busy day ahead of you. Lots of family around is nice, you are quite the cook it seems. Every time we talk you are making something good.
I’m not up to anything special. Gonna get my car washed. We’re having really warm days here. Today it’s like 70 degrees and sunny which is totally out of control for this area. I spent the majority of my morning lounging in bed. I’m taking small steps to feel better. Yesterday I did a lot so today I go slow.
Anyway, glad to hear you’re doing well. Dreams can be scary. But maybe it was a good thing. It’s your subconscious reconciling with the past. Anyway stay strong.
MG

What kind of car do you have? I have a 2004 mark 4 VW golf. I love it! The CD player just stopped working recently, the gear stick baffle just disappeared mysteriously, and the drivers door doesn’t unlock without the key so I can’t use the button clicker to open the car, but I love it and it’s all mine.

I’ve also scraped it against the fence twice and have pain transfer on the driver’s side of the car, but I still love it more than anything. Oh, and I haven’t washed it in two years.

Cool a stick! That’s what I’m talking about. I learned to drive on a stick shift VW Cabriolet. I’ve had jeeps for most of my adult life. I just swapped a Jeep Grand Cherokee with my brother in law for a BMW 328i. It’s a lease and I’ll only have it for the next year, after that I’ll have to look into something new.
I’m enjoying this car it’s fast and responsive.
Gotta keep em clean. When it snows here they put all kinds of chemicals down on the road that chew the belts and tires up. I try to wash it every two weeks and do a chassis bath.

I really need to clean my car. There are cobwebs on it! There’s a great carwash place, really cheap, on the corner of our street but I’m afraid to approach them so I keep asking Mr Turtle to go have it washed for me. But he never does. Maybe I should just be brave and go down there this morning and get it done. The cobwebs are very new but I don’t like them, they make my car look bad.
