Took my "PRN" (beta alanine)

Another day in distress for no good reason.

I have a supplement (not a medicine) that normally helps me in this situation, beta alanine, so I took it.

Good luck @everhopeful!

Hope it works. My prn is gabapentin. I only needed it like that once the last year luckily. I also take a small dose of 200mg for sleep regularly.

Thanks @Mr_Hope and @Wave .

The distress seems to have lifted. I don’t think that had anything to do with the beta alanine though. But who knows.

what’s a prn, like a backup medicine? anyways, glad you’re better

PRN just mean “as needed”. I.e. something you don’t take regularly.

You feeling any better now @everhopeful

I’ve been worried and stressed lately at world events. Trying not to watch the news but it keeps popping up on my Facebook feed.

Thanks very much for asking @Qwerty . I was feeling better for a while then I slumped back into feeling like I’m in distress again unfortunately. I don’t know what to do. I’m at my wits end with this disease.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not on Facebook so I don’t know how to block it.

I used to take that stuff in pre-workouts I’m pretty sure. Makes you all tingly, but can help get 2-4 extra reps in.
