Too much gaming, pain in fingers

I get pain in my fingers if I game too much on the computer, but I have found out that if I take 40 minute breaks per hour of gaming, I can avoid the aches. I will experiment with shorter and shorter breaks and find out where my limit is. Anyone else have experienced pain cause of too much gaming?

You can get special gloves on Amazon for pretty cheap that are designed to keep your joints from swelling and aching. I would suggest wearing those when you are playing. You might have carpal tunnel from the repetitive motion. I would consult with your doctor about, too.

bruh that is crazy, I have heard of people getting repetitive stress injuries from games like Path of Exile or any game that makes you click a lot. I literally can’t use a playstation controller because it hurts my wrist ligaments, but rarely to I play to the point where my fingers hurt. Damn, I would say to get some hobbies but gaming is my hobby too so idk, maybe watch other people play games a bit, too? that’s always fun. oolaloola is right, if it is an issue maybe get some gloves. good luck

Perhaps switch to a different type of gaming that involves physical movement (VR)?

I get this a lot too especially in my wrist. There are some simple exersices like stretching your fingers backwards and holding for 10 seconds, and also putting your arms outwards either side and “waving” your hands.
Anything more than 2 hours is a bad idea for me. After the third hour I always end up in pain.
