Too many topics?

I feel like I am becoming a bit annoying. It’s the same in real life sometimes.
I overshare and interrupt, and talk too much and text too much, and etc.
I try to stop myself sometimes and not be too annoying but… then I remember I need to be my authentic self. funny and sad at the same moment

Probably oneday the number of threads created by me will naturally lessen

Maybe but you’re free to post as much as you want. Place would be boring with no people.

Probably yeah.
But it seems I am in top list on creating most topics😅
Just… glad it’s not annoying. I finally understand I am really an extrovert.
Just… too anxious with new people. It takes time to be comfortable around new places or ppl for me

Strange though when I do tests I am mostly described as introvert. They’re probably not very accurate most of the time

@anon8411913 You could consider creating your own thread where you can post random stuff, lilke some of our other more prolific posters. You dont always need to start a new topic fo each random thought.

Theres nothing wrong with posting a lot of topics, IMO. The key is to it not being spam iMO, is that its not repetitive or meaningless stuff. Or stuff that could be posted in another thread.

If you have 7 thought provoking or meaningful threads on different topics in a day, all is good.

If you have 7 different threads on on your top 7 favorite foods, thats different IMO.

I will consider it  alright.
As I noticed some people create topics on random thought, I thought it would be easier for others, to find a topic they like more. I hope you understand what I wrote.
like that it wouldn’t be in one place, cause it can be too messy sometimes, when many things are in one place.
But okay, I will do it a bit differently now. Less topics.

I noticed that some users create either very similar or almost identical topics.
I guess it hapens to me sometimes also.
Overall, too many topics can make others feel lost in too much information
and a bit strange when few people bombard the whole forum. yeah as @Moonbeam said, no need to start new topic for each random new thought.
I will take that into account.

Yeah, it’s really important that folks post on existing threads with the same topic rather than creating a duplicate topic. Otherwise that can really clutter up the forum.

For example, recently there were three different threads going on what people ate for dinner. One of the mods consolidated them into one thread

I have one very out of context question… I know you are busy on checking the stuff on forum, so if there’s no time, no need to answer.

IDK, I am very interested on functional part of SZ. Like, I also raise the question - why only minorities ar on forums like that?
As in reality, there are millions people with SZ.
As I know, this forum is number 1 (on popularity) for people with schizophrenia.
And there is only 9534 users? I believe this is the number of registrated users from the beginning. And I believe, really active users number is 100-200. And most of them are ain’t that active.
I yesterday did a mistake and went to family forum of people with SZ. Way more active I believe.

The main idea is… I am very sad so many people with SZ probably have very small or no insight, and don’t even consider the possibility of being in such places like forum.
And I swear, the statistics which say that 50% of people with SZ are doing great are lying.
And I’ve found they have forum on reddit, this one and several others… no many choices.

The family forum is not very active from what I have seen. It’s far less active than the diagnosed forum.

I dont know why more people dont seek out this forum. If you look at forums in general (not just mental health forums) it seems like only a small minority of people are posting compared to the total number of people that might have an interest in the forum subject matter. That is the case whether a forum is about schizophrenia, about cars, about exercise, about cooking, or any number of subjects. Many people may also.look at various forums without ever creating an account or posting themselves.

That’s another perspective… yup indeed, not many people are posting. I also sometimes just read some stuff on reddit, as for example about war, and had posted maybe max 3 times here.

I just looked at recent forum stats and the number of “daily engaged users” averages around 140 per day. “Daily engaged users” is defined as the number of users who have liked or posted in the last day.

It’s nice ! Overall it’s a nice place for learning more about the illness from others perpsective. And overall a nice place to share even about everyday stuff.
And learning English better (in my case)

And sadly there are still many people I didn’t had a serious talk with. I mean, still many people I don’t know even for 1%.

And as I understand from the “users” section, I am second active user. from sep 30 - oct 6
Cool.
