She would have been turning 72. I’m going to try to make it over to the cemetery tomorrow; the weather is supposed to be fine. I don’t think I went there on her birthday last year.
She died from breast cancer in 2006. I pretty much fell apart, was fortunate to have my then-gf (now ex-wife) for support.
I got this tattoo for her, my first tattoo, in 2014, on the left side of my chest (over my heart). At first it was just a breast cancer ribbon by itself; I had the MOM and dates added six months later, and I regret that addition. It’s fine now, but I just think it looked better as just the ribbon.
