Toilet style science / culture

Anyone experience or experimented this?

I have never used a fully squat toilet but I saw YouTube videos on this topic and the reason why some prefer this.

I experimented with adding a stool to my normal toilet and can say it helps with constipation.

Squat toilet are common in India. Easier to empty bowels than in sitting position.

This is either anecdotal or scientifically proven. I think from trying just putting your feet up on a stool using a normal sitting toilet actually helps.

The thing is, it culturally feels gross in some ways but I decided if it helps proven and works I’m gonna have a stool in my bathroom.

Squatting is too much of a difference I can never go that far.

So in India do you have two toilet styles even in luxury hotels like in china.

What I’ve seen on YouTube is native Chinese people prefer squatting and sitting toilets are meant for visitors who don’t want to squat.

I have the squatty potty. It was a gag gift from Mr. Star, but we liked it so much we bought another one for the other bathroom. It does indeed make a difference.

Very cool. It’s shaped to hug the toilet bowl. 14% off first purchase.

Interesting facts. I’m not sure I want to ever use a fully squat toilet. Just an add on to a toilet seat style.

Not everyone has two different toilets. Sitting style are more common in big cities. Otherwise it’s all squat style.

People with knee issues have easier time with sitting style but they might get constipated more.
