If you really want a baby but don’t know if it would work here is my advice: find someone you like and get pregnant, then ask your parents to help with the baby.
Worse things have happened.
Babies are good for society. People should be encouraging you to procreate. You don’t have to be a soccer mom. Be as unconventional as you want. Fail even I promise your child wouldn’t ask to have never been born in that case.
I had an abortion with my ex in my mid 20s because I was scared I would be a bad father. Irresponsible etc.
Who cares? The child would have survived me. And it would be awesome to have him or her in my life right now. Biggest regret of my life

Yes was just chatting with my family and they suggested adoption if I ever change my mind because I may be able to do that as a single parent.

I definitely only recommend having a child if you have a good support system.
It’s hard.
Even with a 2 year old, I regret moving away from my parents (to help)
I am exhausted 24/7 and feel like I’m not enough for baby human. I feel like I’m failing her everyday… it’s emotionally wearing to have a child. So many worries and doubts that you didn’t even know existed… at least for me. I have lots of mom guilt.

Okay thanks for the hard truths it’s important to hear that. I think baby human loves you a lot, but yes it’s not easy, and I would be single.

I cant have another one now tho. Its ok having my Daughter whos 23 - but social services would come knocking if a got a woman pregnant. Im 50 this year anyway.

It is not her parents’ responsibility to take care of her child. It’s extremely wrong and manipulative to purposely have a baby while expecting them to share the responsibilities.
@Zoe , how old are you? Women nowadays have babies much older than before.
Whatever I said what I said. It would have been better to ask my parents for help than to have gotten the abortion.
@FreeLunch , there’s a difference between accidentally getting pregnant and asking for help and purposely getting pregnant expecting help
She can use my mistake as a ‘pass’.
I agree with @LilyoftheValley.
You need to be stable and making money and totally prepared before you have a child.
Expecting any help is going to backfire.
People love the thought of babies, they don’t actually like taking care of babies.
I’d err on the side of just not having a kid.

I’m 35 years old atm. Just turned 35 in December. I probably won’t have a kid. The thought of animals is kinda cool.
