to be totally honest doug, i don’t think anyone will notice a difference out there. so many young dudes out here have beards, they have for the past several hundred years. so no i don’t think you should shave, if you do post a pic so we can see if you look any different though,

I am on board with everyone else. I say keep the beard. 
If you want a more clean cut look in the future you can always shave off the sides and a little of the bottom, this is what’s commonly called a “circle beard” or “goatee.”
I like the beard. You’re not afraid for it to be obvious that you’re a male.
