I was finally able to play some skyrim yesterday after my Xanax kicked in, after several days not being able to do anything but panic. I’m sorry your meds aren’t working. I hope you find some relief.

Isnt it pathetic we need medicine to play video games. Im prescribed 25mg of vistaril which does nothing! I take 100mg and it still doesnt do much. I also take buspar. That works for about 2 hours. Ill look flrward to my next dose of buspar at 3pm. Hopefully feel it by 4pm and try to play video games again.

It’s incredibly difficult, even with the meds.

I know people abuse Xanax to get high, but it doesn’t do that for me at all, it makes me feel normal and clear headed. Yet there’s still residual anxiety even on it.

I’m glad you have another dose to look forward to. You’re going to pull through this. Even if it takes meds, you deserve to feel relief.

Wow thats awful. Maybe you need to reassure yourself that it doesnt matter what actually happens to you/your character. Sometimes playing badly at first is what you need to do to get better?

My heart is getting too bad for videogames. Sometimes there’s a stressful event and my heart feels terrible. Cardiologist said my heart is “perfectly fine” two months ago, but gave me a prescription for beta blockers.

I don’t mean to be that person, you know best, but chest pain and heart palpitations can be a sign of anxiety. I have a heart condition, but most of my chest pains are due to anxiety. Just a thought.

Yeah it could be, but I’ve had anxiety my whole life and the heart problems only started like a year ago and have gotten worse.

I get anxiety in my feet

That sounds like some intense anxiety if you can’t even do something you enjoy. I’d recommend asking your pdoc for a benzo for occasional use when it gets that bad. I take klonopin and it works wonders. I decided to take 4 days off so it’s more effective when I start college on Monday.

Its very intense. It happens when i paint or do anything really. My doctor wont prescribe me a benzo because of my history of alcohol abuse. So he prescribed vistaril 25mg 3x a day. Which is the recommended dosage for itching.

Im not worried about doing poorly. Its just generalized anxiety disorder. I was anxious before i played. Usually it goes away when i play video games but today is exceptional

A benzo will only work short term anyway.

Oh really? Same with the vistaril. I built up a tolerance after a week

Hehe truthfully I am jealous of you people that get the good stuff from your docs. I wish I was on some heavier stuff, but ye benzo usually temporaly and docs dont usually prescribe it for long period, as least where I live. Though from time to time I hear of the lucky few who gets it regurlarly.

I was on benzos for a year, only 0.5mg clonazepam, and it was hellish trying to come off it when I decided I didn’t want to be on it anymore.

Well after a while you dont get high of it anymore I guess, and you just get addicted, you got withdrawals?

I never got high from it, it just calmed me down like it was supposed to. I had pretty bad withdrawals. I had to taper off it really slowly.

I’m thankful I only got one bottle of Xanax wo refills. I have an addictive personality, and I don’t need another problem right now.

I’m glad the Dr’s in the states are being forced to limit their scripts, but I also worry about needing it in the future and not having access.

I might change my opinion when I run out, because it’s helped me so much the past few days, but I know I wouldn’t be able to take it long term wo addiction.

I never took Xanax before but isnt that very heavy benzo?
