Tips and tricks for getting motivated

It’s not like I have huge amounts of things to do today. Maybe just clean up my bedroom, vacuum and get going on guitar. But I’m not really feeling it atm. Just feel like sitting and vegging out on the forum. Hence, the topic at hand.

I will likely get going soon, but it made me think of this topic. What do you do to get motivated? DO you just do it? Do you have a technique? What gets you moving?

Wellbutrin is the only thing that ever got me motivated. And dreaming about the future.

I got started on cleaning. I think I will record and post some playing this afternoon to motivate me to get going on guitar.

I only do what I absolutely have to to get by each day. If I had it my way I’d never leave the house but my dad makes me do Assertive Community Treatment and go to their groups three times a week and I have to see my doctor twice a year.

Amisulpride

Ummm…don’t know what else… My motivation is nonexistent right now so I can’t say but amisulpride does make negatives less severe

choosing the right antipsychotic will give you motivation. lurasidone (latuda) gave me motivation. i have read that methylphenidate gave huge motivation and pleasure and feeling high but some studies says it causes psychosis

Routine helps me. Like every morning I get up and have a cup of coffee and eat breakfast. During the week I have groups from 10 to 12p. Being my friends ride motivated me to go cause I enjoy seeing him. Otherwise I’m motivated by needs. Like grocery store with my gma, or other random things I need. Like today it was vape juice as the main thing.

Edit: I’m motivated to clean twice a week in preparation to see my case manager and peer support worker at my place.

It usually helps me to exercise first thing in the morning.
If i don’t I usually don’t exercise that day.
I reward myself with breakfast and coffee afterwards.

I recently had difficulty exercising because I see no physical results from it.
Lost no weight or fat.
But my mood is better when I exercise so that’s reason enough.

I don’t really do much.

I don’t do much but I do try and exercise regularly and eat well and take care of myself.
