I’ve been to another psychiatrist and he said I might have severe OCD and I’m taking high doses of antipsychotic drugs for nothing.

Yes, OCD sometimes looks like psychosis

My doctor recently suggested that I might be bipolar and not schizophrenic with psychotic experiences because hearing voices is not a diagnostic definitive for schizophrenia. He cant explain somethjngs though so i remain on the ap.

I have OCD and schizoeffective disorder and the antipsychotics help with both, especially the intrusive thoughts. I don’t have thought broadcasting though.

Thought broadcasting is not OCD. If you are thought broad casting. I would suggest getting on a better drug. I did that for years when I was younger. You got problems If you’re doing that

Thought broadcasting when repeatedly doing without realising it’s useless is OCD i guess. I was diagnosed OCD as I would repeatedly do the same mistakes. I originally think I have OCD and the rest follows like bipolar, schizoid… etc…

I was experiencing thought broadcasting and it was labeled as psychosis.

Yeah I guess it’s a type of psychosis. Psychosis will mess you up. I’m still messes up. Get out of that crap. Thought broadcasting is definitely a problem. I’ve had. All kinds of psychosis in my life. I’m 47. And I was hardly ever stable. Now I’m just brain damaged. Lol

Not enough information but truat your dr. They would know a lot more about your exact symptom picture than we ever couls. But yes OCD can look very similar to psychosis or they could play into each other. OCD can come without insight and this can make diagnosing difficult

there for me is an overlap of two or more issues that cause schizophrenia, have u seen a therapist?
