Yes I have. I’ve seen the East and West coast and that is of course where my sz started.

An old friend is an aircraft engineer

He got us cheap tickets to NYC

£130 return

Was very impressive place

We did the circle line cruise around manhattan, Intrepid air sea and space museum

Went top of the rock and empire state

Spent some time in Central Park

Was a very nice visit but wish we’d gone for longer

Stayed in a hostel west 23rd Street in Chelsea

Did not pay much for it but we only slept there

I thought the way tourists were visiting world trade centre site was a little strange if not creepy

We couldn’t go to Ellis island or Statue of Liberty as it was closed after hurricane flooding

This was about 12 years ago but I will never forget it

As a child, 8-11, lived in San Francisco. I still remember the address where we lived - 3922 Clay street near the Presidio. As an adult once for a fortnight back in 1995, to Charlotte. I was too nervous to go anywhere on my own due to my poor sense of direction, and difficulty getting to and from unfamiliar places.

Despite that it was an OK visit, The flight home was a nightmarish experience however, that made me very phobic about travelling abroad.
