This guy I worked for

I worked at a pizza place for a short period of time a long time ago. There was this manager who I thought was really cool. He was totally professional. After I had left that job for a while I read in the paper that this manager had taken some money from the store and taken off. I was very puzzled by this. He seemed to handle the stress of the job well, but you can’t always tell what other people are thinking. I wonder what made him take such a disastrous course of action. Maybe he had despaired of ever getting his fair share of the pie. Maybe some evil person was watching him, and knew just the subtle insult that would make him lose control of himself. Whatever it was, I hope somebody is willing to give him a second chance.

That’s sad, because he’ll end up in prison. Who knows what drove him to it? I just hope he manages to turn his life around.

Well, you don’t have to go to prison for this scenario. Paying the money back is a long way toward settling the debt.

Yes! I agree. What good would it do to put this guy in with hardened criminals? It would be a good approach to a lot of crime to just make them pay the money back, and then let them go on their way. If you’re not a hardened criminal going into our prisons, you will be when you get out.

sad story…sorry crimby…you have a big heart to still think of that guy.
