Thinking of preparing to stay up all night tomorrow to see the election results come in

The election results start tomorrow at 10pm. I really want to follow it so thinking of doing an all nighter tonight. Sleep tomorrow day and wake at 10pm for the results

Are you getting out the house tomorrow to vote @anon94176359? I know you have a lot of anxieties about that stuff.

Hey @anon98459728. First of all thank you so much for remembering my situation!

Am gonna go at 7am. Hopefully it should be quiet at that time. The polling place is just at the end of my street. You got a time you are gonna vote?

Probably around 10 am. Nothing on all day so I can do it whenever really.

Without getting too political, is this for the prime minister position?
Who’s running?

Yeah is for the prime minister. We have Quite a few parties who get significant votes.

But the two major parties are the conservatives (kinda Republican like) and labour (kinda democrat like)

This election (without getting too political) is all about which party we want to lead through the brexit

They do a poll leavers exit summary at 10pm that is hardly ever wrong. Why bother staying up?

Time is relentless and not knowing the result immediately won’t change anything. So get a good night’s sleep and the result will be the same.

Unless of course you are rioting against the Tories immediately…

You are right the exit polls are pretty accurate

I like to stay up and watch the elections here in the states. it’s always such a relief for me, to have a result, I get overwhelmed with all the politics in the run up to the election. typically I don’t vote, I haven’t voted since 2012, but I may next year depending on who the candidates are. not sure. will check the news to see the result across the pond.

its not nice but i think they have to save money to pay the deficit after the financial crisis, the good thing about it is that we are in a surplus atm so the deficit is getting paid quicker, once it is paid then we should have more to pay into services, also should get more money from Brexit (maybe) i heard we’d save a bit anyway

nt politics just number crunching lol

Almost all economic models reckon that any Brexit outcome would leave the UK worse off than it would be if it continued within the European Union.

says the uk pays £250m a week or £8.9bn a yr more than it gets back

This thread will get locked if I tell you why that is naive.
