What kind of job do you do? I am trying to get over my social anxiety and work again.
I work in a hospital mostly admin work.
Wow that’s great! Do you take meds and do they interfere with your work, like make you tired etc…
Baked some raisin bread and now I’m steaming some veggies.
- Called in sick to work due to stomach flu
- was told anthem blue cross denied my Rx for anti-nausea medication (been puking so much I nearly fainted at work yesterday, dr. prescribed pills and something called the BRAT diet…)
- Spent 1.5 hours on phone w/insurance, pharmacy, and dr.
- finally got my rx, but found out it’s not the complete Rx and I am not allowed to follow Dr’s orders—I must follow insurance agency’s orders that states I must take it less than prescribed so it lasts 13 days.
- fumed w/anger, went home, pet cat, surfed facebook, and watched youtube videos.
went to the doctors
went for a walk
cleaned out the rabbit cages couldn’t do a complete cleaning because i needed someone to hold the rabbits
did laundry and ate dinner
on a side note my partner bought me lactose free ice cream so going to eat later
That sucks. Hope the nausea improves soon.
I volunteer myself as rabbit holder. I love bunnies!
Thank you! Dr. was concerned about my electrolytes so she said what can help w/electrolytes and ease some of the nausea was to eat bananas, rice, apples, and cereal only for like 3 days. It’s day 2 and I’m already sick of bananas and rice lol!
When I get ill I try to drink sips of electrolyte solution. You can get it as a powder from the pharmacy. Problem is if you are being sick all the time you can’t always keep it down.
I forgot, she mentioned that too! But specifically Gatorade 2 (2 has no sugar) and then gave me really specific instructions because she said the same thing you just did: you might not be able to keep it down due to something called the “dump” effect.
4 ounces every half hour of Gatorade 2. I bought like 5 yesterday!
Thank you!!
Went on a walk today. And joined this really awesome forum!
Yeah, Zofran is expensive ■■■■, and insurance hates paying for it. Sorry. Hopefully, you won’t need it the whole 13 days anyways.
Today I went to the doctor, ate pizza, and hung out outside with my animals. Very peaceful.
Not the most productive day.
I made some calls, slept the afternoon away, and made dinner. Now I’m feeling kind of sick so I’m laying down. Theres still time to work my moms sweater and do a bit of studying, we’ll see.
