The landlord just called me and said they did a last minute inspection under the house and discovered a huge water leak.
The floor and subflooring in the bathroom has to be replaced and the plumbing has to be fixed.
We can’t move anything in until Saturday,
Then all next week they’ll be doing construction and stuff.
My dogs will be going nuts in a new environment with people everywhere.
What a mess.

The good news is, the landlords care enough to actually fix the problem promptly. That is a good sign, even though it will be a headache.

That’s true.
I guess I should be happy they’re fixing it.

Yes it’s a good sign that the landlord cares enough to fix the problem right away @GoldenRex .
Good luck with the move!

My first house had to have the whole basement torn up, new piping all the way out to the street, both bathrooms gutted and redone due to sinking floors, all house flooring redone due to cheap cement turning into dust and floor juices breaking. It was a nightmare. You’re so lucky to have someone else pay
