It used to be this activity for inuit women as a game they played with each other. The first one to laugh and stop doing the throat thing loses. They would play it when the men had left.
I recall this because there was this huge thing with some royals watching 2 throat singers and the royals started laughing. Then people started getting bent out of shape about them laughing and using it as rage bait. Then someone mentioned what they were doing and its culture.
Tho i guess this might be different.
