Why did you save my life, damn it? Now I’ve got to work on myself and it’s an uphill battle all the way. When there was no hope, there was no conflict.

The doctor is in your life for moral support 
With any incurable disease, doctor does not have answers and is fumbling around just as much as we are. We are as likely to come up with answers as he is. Meds aren’t answers, they just soothe the symptoms.
